Skilled SK-101 Cartesian Robot
A gantry robot consists of one or more manipulators mounted onto an overhead structure that allow movement across a horizontal plane. They are also called “Cartesian” or “linear” robots and are usually large systems that perform pick and place applications. This kind of systems provide the advantage of large work areas and better positioning accuracy. Furthermore Skilled Gantry robots are easy to program because they work with an X, Y, Z coordinate system.

The Skilled 101 gantry robot project springs from the need to supply an easy to use and economical palletizing robot for low speed production lines, which guarantees the efficiency and the quality that is Skilled Group’s trademark. Because of it simple design and modular construction, installation and start up can be completed in days. This reasonable priced unit requires minimal floor space and can be adapted to any preexisting product conveyor and packaging line. Depending on requirements it can be supplied with a single or double pallet station, with automatic pallet magazine, with slip-sheet magazine and with conveyor for full pallets. Finally, the Skilled 101 gantry robot is managed by simple software, entirely created by our engineers, that allows an independent, customized configuration of the system and handling programs.
